Good

The diaper covers are so cute! We love the patterns, but the solid colours are really nice as well. My son is a heavy wetter. We have not had a leak yet. I tried 2 different types of cloth diapers before discovering Mother Ease. I wish I had have found them sooner. I don't think the cover lasts to 35 pounds for a chubby kid. My son is chubby. He is 29 lbs, and the diapers seem really tight. He always has red marks on his thighs.

Made small

I bought 5 small Sandys + 15 one-size Wizard Duo inserts with 4 covers. My 5-month baby is 19 pounds and none of these diapers fit him anymore. He is chubby but nothing crazy. The Sandys lasted his third and fourth months (but since they are fitted it was expected), however I am disappointed that the Duo didn't last longer, especially they are supposed to last till 35 pounds.

Didn't have any leaks with them, but they are too tight, leaving marks around the waist and thighs.

Perfect

I've been using the duos diapers for almost a year now, starting when my daughter was 2 weeks old, and they are by far my favorite cloth diaper. Once I learned how to properly put them on my daughter, meaning I need to make sure the thighs are right in place after putting the diaper on, I have had no leaking whatsoever. It was a breeze with breastfed newborn poo since everything washes very easily, and once my daughter started eating I added a flushable liner to help with the removal of any poo. So far so good ! Everyday I alternate 2 covers, letting one air out while the other is in use, and using a new one only if I have a big poo that touched the elastics. For days at daycare, I just pack them as if they were regular disposable diapers so it's not complicated and the caretaker doesn't have to change the liners. I have 12 covers rights now, 18 stay dry insert and 6 night stay dry which are awesome. I do a full extra sanitize cycle every once a while to make sure there is no urine build up, but appart from that I just clean them every 2 to 3 days with a normal warm cycle with regular detergent followed by a hot cycle with no detergent. I've saved more than 2300 diapers, making me break even with costco disposable diapers as of today, and they are still in perfectly good shape. They will go to my next child without problem I'm sure. Also, the prints are just adorables <3 Worst thing about these is that they are hard to get and sometime sell real fast.

Poor Quality

I purchased the Wizard Duo diapers after a considerable amount of research. Others had spoken of the quality of the diapers and I loved that they were made it Canada. I was horrified to see the product that I received! The stitching is loose, uneven and not even on the trim at some points. There were tails from the thread hanging everywhere and you could see the uneven cuts from the scissors. I feel that I could’ve done a better job sewing these even though I have very limited experience. This is not what you would expect from this price point!

Ever the optimist, I used the diapers and found that the poo not contained in the insert actually leaked through the poor stitching on the trim. This isn’t something I had experienced with any of my other diaper covers. I really like the concept of these diapers, but unfortunately the reduction of quality in their workmanship is not on par with all the other reviews I had read.

I messaged Mother Ease privately and unfortunately as there has been an increase in the demand for the product, this is their new standard as they’re rushing to fulfil orders. The unsightly mess is not covered by warranty and cannot be replaced. Although I wouldn’t even want more of these covers if they’re sewn like this. If Mother Ease is advertising a quality product, quality craftsmanship is a must!

I’m stuck with these, but I hope someone else can learn from my mistake.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Wizard Duo cover. I’m sorry to hear the product you received didn’t meet your expectations.

If you could reach out to our customer service team, we’d love the chance to make this right! info@mother-ease.com

Needs improvement

I've purchased 12 cotton bamboo blend wizard duo & 12 stay dry wizard duo for the packages. Usually they say 24 cloth diapers should sustain you for cloth diapering. I've found a few issues since making use of these diapers. The cons are the wizard duo inserts drop some in the middle since they aren't fastened. Which is very problematic for when you have a little boy like myself. I also find the amount of shells included in this package is unreasonable due to they can not be reused if the child does a number 2. My son goes 3 times a day. Which led me to having to purchase several shells on top of what was included in the package. For the amount of money I've spent on this, I would not suggest this package to anyone to buy. The only positive side I find is they don't leak. You will need boosters if you cloth diaper over night. I find I still have to change my son at least twice in order for him to not leak through. Since my son is my last child I won't be purchasing more diapers. However, if I had to do it all over again I would have purchased prefolds with pocket diapers. It's more cost efficient & more absobant. Regarding the quality of the service, they are reasonable. However, they fall short compared to the lil helper cloth diaper company.

Thank you for your honest review of our Duo system. I’m sorry to hear you weren’t satisfied with your purchase.

At Mother-ease, we are proud to manufacture all of our products here locally and pride ourselves on our leak-free diapering systems. A very important aspect considering the extra laundry you will need to do if your diaper leaks (changing and washing a lot of outfits, car seats, strollers etc!)

We agree that the cover to Insert ratio was a little low and have recently revamped the package to be a 1:2 ratio – which makes things much easier as you can have more diapers assembled and ready for quick changes.

We also have the Night Time Insert available for those using cloth through the night. They are designed to hold 12+ hours.
