Reusable Cloth Sanitary Pads – Why you need to get on board!
Reusable Cloth Sanitary Pads – Why you need to get on board!
Maybe you’ve heard lately that reusable sanitary products are becoming increasingly popular, but you’re still hesitant and looking for more information. You’ve come to the right place!
What are the benefits of using cloth over disposable?
Of course, the number one reason to switch to cloth is for the environmental impact. It’s no secret that disposable diapers and feminine hygiene products account for an alarming amount of waste in landfills, and take forever to decompose. Choosing reusables helps keep our trash footprint down.
Another reason to make the switch is comfort! The stay-dry fabric used on our Mesara Reusable Cloth Pads is buttery soft against your delicate skin. Postpartum mamas, I’m talking to you here – living in disposable pads for weeks after giving birth is awful! Cloth pads are a must-have during this time! Sincerely, a mom of three.
So, you’re doing your part to save the environment, and enjoying the comfort of cloth along the way, but what about the cleaning and care of these products? This sounds like a lot of work.
WRONG!
Cleaning and caring for your Mesara pads is easier than you think. Simply rinse out the pad immediately after use with cold water. Add a little Laundry Magic stain remover to discourage stains, and store in a bin for washing. Once your bin is full (we suggest washing every other day max) simply throw in the washing machine and wash with HOT water and the appropriate amount of detergent*. You can wash with any other items that can be washed in hot water. Your Mesara pads can be dried in your tumble dryer.
If you follow these washing instructions, you will have clean, stain and smell-free cloth pads.
Okay, that’s not so bad, right? So, what happens when you’re out and about?
You would follow the same care instructions when on the go. Utilize the single-stall bathrooms in public spaces so that you can rinse out your pad and use a zippered wet bag for storage in your purse. Once you return home, put your rinsed-out pads into your bin for washing.
They seem really expensive, is it worth it?
It may seem more expensive up front, but you’re saving money by reusing your products rather than purchasing new ones every time you need them.
There are a ton of options out there, why choose Mesara?
Mesara Reusable Cloth Pads are the leader in reusable sanitary products because of their incredible absorbency, leak-free performance, comfort, and high-quality materials.
Mesara pads aren’t only for menstrual needs but also offer superior protection for incontinence as well.
Our cloth pads are available in three different pad options to offer a solution for every need:
Liner – the reusable panty liner everyone needs. Comfortable and discrete for everyday use.
Complete – all you need for day or night for a regular flow or light incontinence.
Ultimate – a full-cut, super absorbent pad with elasticized sides. Offers maximum protection and quick absorption for the heaviest flow and moderate incontinence.
Mother-ease is known for our high-quality products that work well and are convenient to use, and the Mesara line is no exception. Backed with our PUL cover fabric and lined with our buttery soft Stay Dry fabric sitting against your delicate skin, Mesara Reusable Cloth Pads offer the utmost performance in comfort and containment for all your menstrual and incontinence needs!
Some noticeable differences between Mesara pads and other brands:
Binding – without a binding, a reusable pad would not be effective against leaks. Liquid would reach the narrow width and go onto your underwear/pants. Our Mesara line of pads are finished with a soft, waterproof fabric binding to stop all leaks.
Absorbency – from our feedback, our Mesara pads are more absorbent than our competition.
Fabrics – we are using the same high-quality fabrics found in our diapers, so you can be sure they will work for you when you need them most!
Plastic vs Metal Snaps – we are using a metal snap system vs. the plastic snaps found in our diapers. The metal snaps are super thin, not adding extra bulk.
Double Wide Snap System – by placing two snaps beside each other we create a wider tab which reduces the movement and twisting of the pad.
